23 Month Sentence for Vick
This is "old" news (yesterday) but I wanted to archive it on here. What kind of Commonwealth sports guru would I be without mentioning it?
Michael Vick was sentenced yesterday to 23 months in federal prison.
"You were instrumental in promoting, funding and facilitating this cruel and inhumane sporting activity," [U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson] said.
The Federal Prison system does not have parole, so Vick can't get out that way, but supposedly he can earn up to 3 months off for good behavior. Since he started his sentence a bit early (around Thanksgiving) he should be able to get out in July or August 2009.
